In addition to $wMC, the Memechain token ($MC) is a community-focused token that serves as the primary governance token for the Memechain blockchain and comes with various use cases. The entire $MC token supply will be mined before the mainnet is released. The protocol will simultaneously generate a small amount of $wMC (100,000 tokens) to fuel the initial bridging gas fee signing.

Users will have two options for paying transaction fees on Memechain - $wMC and $MC. During the Memechain launch phase, the $wMC token will be used primarily for this purpose. The $MC token will become the main token to perform transactions, smart contracts, and initiate dApps when the network is up and running.
